Osho, whose original name was Rajneesh Chandra Mohan Jain, was one of the most controversial and influential spiritual teachers of the 20th century. He was born on December 11, 1931, in Kuchwada, India, and later became known worldwide for his radical ideas about meditation, freedom, love, and human consciousness.
Many people called him Acharya Rajneesh, later Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, and eventually he adopted the name Osho in the late 1980s.
